Inuit Princess

I have a very talented friend who has been getting into photography lately. He’s also a Doctor(!) and during his spare time he takes amazing self portraits and plays around with clever concepts.

Last week I went over to his house with a bag of make up and a selection of clothing; whatever caught my eye really as I raced out the door. I brought along a purple dress, a lace back dress and a warm coat with faux fur lined hoodle which I had purchased in Vienna, Austria. He thoughtfully examined my stuff and set off to work. I sat perched on a stool as he did his magic, not quite sure what he was doing just playing with the colours, glitters and textures of the make up. To finish it off he placed a garland of dried flowers (which he made!) on my head and we wandered outside as the sun was setting.

This is the finished piece:

I had a lot of fun being someone elses canvas. Adopting another look and persona. It’s not everyday you get to be a “model”. I hope we get to do it again soon! :oD

What I admire about Syahir is his ability to create something with what he has and making his own props; he even makes clouds! If you want to see more of his work, which I highly recommend, check out his Facebook page… he is amazing!

This would definitely be a spontaneous purchase…now I am thinking I want a netbook for those days at work when it is EXTREMELY boring. XD As in, everyday now…but I wont be able to use it when my manager comes to work other than on my lunch break so idk…. XD
